教学过程








Step 1 Warming-up & Lead in



After greeting the students, pla石家庄家教网 y a game “Simon says” to review some verbs. Such as: play football, ride a bike.



Imagine that there is going to be a sports meeting, and the teacher asks what the students can do to lead in today’s class.



Step 2 Presentation



New words:



(1) Broadcast the video clip to teach the words: sing, dance. Teach the word with the phonics.



(2) Do the actions to paraphrase the words: draw, swim,



(3) Show a picture to paraphrase the word: write. (板书单词并领读)



Teach the students how to read the words to ensure that they can read them correctly and exactly.



New sentence pattern:



The teacher says something she can do and ask students with “Can you…?”. Lead students to answer with “Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.” with the help of the expression. Write the key sentence pattern on the blackboard and explain the usage of it. And remind the students that the tone of the sentence “Can you…?” should be rising. Then practise the sentence pattern with the students by asking and answering.



Step 3 Practise



(1) Divide students into boys group and girls group. Let them play the game “What is missing?” to practise the new words. Suppose the girls group win the game. The teacher gives them encouragement.



 (2) Sing a song with the melody of Two Tigers. They can sing like this:



Can you sing? Can you sing?



Yes, I can. Yes, I can.



Can you dance? Can you dance?



Yes, I can. Yes, I can.



Can you swim? Can you swim?



No, I can’t. No, I can’t. Help! Help! Help!



(3) Make up a new conversation with their partner based on it. The teacher can give an example. After that, play the game "Hot potato" to choose a right pair to show their conversation. 



And one student is supposed to say something wrong with sentence and the teacher should correct the right form.



Step 4 Production



Group work: Make a survey.



Four students in a group to finish the task: Ask them to do a survey by asking their group members some activities whether they can do or not with “Can you…? Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.”   Finish the chart on the blackboard. Remind them to use the new words and the sentence pattern they have learned. At last, students make a report in front of the classroom. And the other students should comment about their performance.



Step 5 Summary



(1) Students summarize and the teacher gives supplements timely. Encourage the students to do what they can for their parents with housework.



Step 6 Homework



Students are encouraged to make a poster about some activities they can or can’t do



 in their daily life and share it in the next class.

I can write. Can you write? Yes! So you can say with “Yes, I can.” (板书) Can you swim? Some students can swim, but some can’t. If you can’t swim, you can say “No, I can’t.” (板书)  When we want to ask others whether they can do something or not, we can ask with “Can you...?” Tim, can you play table tennis?  Tim says, yes, I can. I can play table tennis, too. So we can play together after class.



Step 3 Practise



Next, let’s do something fun. What’s missing game. I would like to divide you into 2 groups. Boys a group and girls another group. Let’s see which group will be better. Ready? Go. what’s missing? Aha, girls got it, it’s draw. perfect. Once again, 1, 2, 3, what’s missing? Boys. Yes, it’s sing. Wonderful.All of you did a good job.
